WEEKLY UPDATE

It was a joy to open the annual Missions Conference at the Metro Baptist Church in Goodlettsville, Tennessee this past Sunday. It was my first time in this great Church. Pastor Phil Martin was a delight to be around. He has a great heart for God and his people. I enjoyed preaching both services. There was a wonderful sense of God's presence and the people were very attentive to the preaching of God's Word. This is a great work and they have a heart, not only the Nashville area, but the world.

On Monday night it was a blessing to be a part of the tent meeting hosted by the Maryville Baptist Tabernacle in Maryville, Tennessee. I appreciate Pastor Rick Smelcer and the Church. They were one of the first Churches that took me on as a missionary and they have been faithful in their support. This is their first year for the tent meeting. Pastor Smelcer has plans for this to be a annual meeting and I believe it is going to be a good tent meeting. There was a good crowd present and several preachers that attended.

I covet your prayers for my meetings this weekend. I will be at the Thompson Springs Baptist Church in Cleveland, Tennesse (Pastor Joe White) on Sunday morning and then at the Cloverleaf Baptist Church in Cartersville, Georgia (Pastor Justin Gazaway) on Sunday night.

I talked with a pastor of a Church on the Navaho Reservation today. Pray with us that God will open doors for us to be a part of reaching Native Americans on the Navaho Reservation. This is the largest Reservation in the U.S., and as on all Reservations, there are many needs.

Thanks for your prayers, especially for Native America.

Yours for Native America
Ken Trivette
